The Worcester Economic Club welcomed a distinguished panel representing four of the region’s leading cultural institutions to discuss their collective impact on the local economy. Alan Seiffert of The Hanover Theatre, Grace Elton of New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill, Matthias Waschek of the Worcester Art Museum, and Noreen Johnson Smith of the EcoTarium shared insights on how their organizations drive tourism, support local businesses, and enhance Worcester’s overall quality of life. The discussion highlighted the vital role these institutions play in workforce attraction, downtown vibrancy, and long-term regional competitiveness. Attendees gained a deeper appreciation for how cultural investment continues to strengthen Central Massachusetts both economically and socially.
