An accomplished leader and highly experienced senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in the property and casualty industry, Jack was appointed president and chief executive officer of The Hanover in October 2017. Since joining the company in 2006, Jack has served in several senior leadership positions. He most recently served as president, Hanover Agency Markets, where he was responsible for the company’s personal and commercial lines business, leading the company’s efforts to expand business written through its agent partners. Prior to joining The Hanover, Jack served in senior management roles at the St. Paul Travelers Companies, last serving as vice president, commercial accounts. Jack also served in a variety of underwriting and management positions at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company and Atlantic Mutual Insurance. In addition to his responsibilities at The Hanover, Jack serves on the board of directors for the National Council on Compensation Insurance, PCI, The Institutes and the Insurance Information Institute. Jack graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut.
Dr. Jeffrey H. Harris is the former Chief Economist and Director of the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis at the U.S. Security and Exchange Commission. He also holds the Gary Cohn Goldman Sachs Endowed Chair in Finance at the Kogod School of Business at American University. Dr. Harris has an extensive background in auction market microstructure, dealer markets, exchange trading and regulatory issues. He has also served as Chief Economist at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (from 2007-10), with prior experience as Visiting Academic at the Nasdaq Stock Market (2000-01) and at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (1999-2000). Dr. Harris received his B.A. in Physics in 1986, an MBA from the University of Iowa in 1987 and a Ph.D. in Finance from The Ohio State University in 1995.
As President and Chief Executive Officer of Boston Children’s Hospital, Sandra L. Fenwick leads the nation’s foremost independent pediatric hospital and the world’s leading center of pediatric medical and health research. Ms. Fenwick has been a driving force to improve the effectiveness and efficacy of the care provided at Boston Children’s while at the same time reducing the costs of care. Through a combination of hospital affiliations, outpatient specialty care centers, community health centers and regional partnerships, she has helped create a children’s health network providing high quality pediatric care in local settings. She has also expanded its commitment to and investment in both basic, translational and clinical research, care, technology and delivery innovations and as well as prevention efforts focused on asthma, obesity and mental health. She is a tireless advocate for children’s health and has been instrumental in developing strategies that position Boston Children’s as the scientific and thought leader in pediatric health.
Ms. Fenwick joined Boston Children’s 1999 as senior vice president and was appointed Chief Operating Officer that year, was named President in 2008 and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in 2013. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of CRICO, Ltd.(Cayman), Harvard’s Wyss Institute for Biologically-inspired Engineering, Children’s Hospital Association, Children’s Hospitals Solutions for Patient Safety, Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, MASCO, Inc, Jobs for Massachusetts, Inc., Massachusetts Digital Health Council and Boston Children’s Hospital. She is also a member of the Massachusetts Women’s Forum and Women Corporate Directors/Boston.
